First edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Place at Whitton by Thomas Keneally (Walker & Company, 1964). Rare vintage gothic horror / thriller book, a Walker Mystery. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with mild rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creases and small tears. Slight waviness towards bottom edge of front jacket cover due to liquid damage, with staining to reverse side. Boards straight and largely clean save for bumped corners and very subtle fading towards bottom edges. Slightly cocked spine though binding is strong. Tanning pages that are otherwise clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
